Hello!
I'm Elmi, and I'm delighted to welcome you to Elmi Botha Music
School.
I began playing keyboard and piano at the age of 8, and by 15, I
had started playing bass, becoming part of various bands and
projects. Currently, I am a full-time music teacher. I have
completed ALMSA Grade 7 in both piano and theory, and in 2013, I
earned my National Diploma in Music from Tshwane University of
Technology (TUT), specialising in Jazz Piano. I established Elmi
Botha Music School in 2012 and have been passionately teaching
ever since.
Teaching music lessons is not just my profession; it's my
passion. With over 12 years of experience, I have had the
privilege of working with students of all ages. I focus on
creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment, firmly
believing that everyone can learn and play music. Lessons are
designed to be enjoyable, informal, and tailored to meet the
individual needs and skill levels of each student. I am
dedicated to unlocking the hidden talents within each student,
fostering a love for music and skill development.
In addition to practical lessons, I offer theory lessons to
ensure a well-rounded musical foundation. The school provides
numerous opportunities for students to showcase their talents,
including an annual showcase, optional external exams, and
various performance events throughout the year. My goal is to
create a supportive and inspiring environment where students can
explore, learn, and excel in any musical style.
All ages are welcome at Elmi Botha Music School, preferably
starting from the age of 5. Beginners are especially encouraged
to join, and remember, you are never too old to learn to play an
instrument. Lessons take place in Highveld, Centurion, with
online lessons also available for those who prefer remote
learning. |
